Habits, not rules
Most people already know a lot about nutrition. What tends to get in the way is not information but automatic behavior. Eating while scrolling, finishing the kids' plates, reaching for something sweet every time a deadline looms: none of these are decisions so much as grooves the day runs along.
Hypnosis works on those grooves. In a relaxed state you can slow a familiar moment down, notice what you actually want, and rehearse a choice that feels kinder to your body. The goal is more awareness and ease, not stricter rules.
What sessions focus on
Clients often want help pausing before eating on autopilot, recognising the difference between physical hunger and stress, eating more slowly and actually tasting their food, or feeling less pulled by the kitchen in the evening. Some want to bring more vegetables or water into the day without it feeling like a chore.
Kelly asks about the specific moments that matter to you, such as the drive home past the Dunkin' on Court Street or the late-night stretch after the house goes quiet, and builds the session around those. Specific scenes give the imagination something real to rehearse.
Why there are no numbers here
Kelly does not set weight goals, calorie counts or diet plans, and she does not make claims about weight change. Bodies are different, and numbers can quietly turn a supportive practice into another source of pressure. The work stays with behavior and experience: how you eat, how you feel while eating, and how you treat yourself afterward.
If you have a medical reason to change how you eat, please follow guidance from your doctor or a registered dietitian. Hypnosis can support the habits involved in following that guidance; it does not replace it.
A note on eating disorders
If you are struggling with restriction, bingeing that feels out of control, purging or intense distress about food or your body, please reach out to a doctor or licensed mental health provider who specialises in eating disorders. These are serious conditions, and hypnotherapy is not an appropriate treatment for them.
Kelly may gently decline this kind of work or suggest you start with specialised care. That is not a judgment; it is a commitment to sending you toward the right kind of help.
Practice at your own table
Because sessions happen online, you are already sitting in the environment where your habits live. That makes rehearsal unusually concrete. Some clients take a session from the kitchen and then use a short self-hypnosis cue before meals for the following week.
A typical between-session practice might be one slow breath and a single question before eating: am I hungry, and what would feel good right now? It is small on purpose. Small practices are the ones that survive busy weeks.
